Internship + Job Search Skills for Introverts

Have you ever been told to “act like an extrovert”? To “just come out of your shell”? In this workshop, you will learn how to harness your strengths as an introvert – and stretch in comfortable ways so that you can attain your internship/career goals.  You will gain a deeper understanding of your personality style and develop strategies to navigate common challenges for introverts, including self-promotion, the interview process and  networking. We will explore concrete strategies to enable you to own your leadership style as you seek – and find a position in high school, college, and beyond.

(1 hour in-person or remote workshop)

Shaking the World Gently

How can you set the stage so that your teammates can thrive?  An understanding of yourself and others through the lens of temperament is critical. Our diverse styles as introverts and extroverts shape how we communicate, solve problems, and recharge.  In this interactive workshop, you’ll learn the best ways to harness your own strengths, step outside your comfort zone with authenticity, and actualize the potential of others. In a safe and caring environment, you are invited to constantly challenge yourself to expand your skills and insights. The goal is to cultivate ambition, resilience, and courage as a leader.

(1 hour in-person or remote workshop)

Closing the Gap: A Leadership Workshop on Resilience

Imperfection is Perfection. How do temperament and gender stereotypes, media messages and societal expectations contribute to feelings of “failure”?  What is the difference between a “high-achiever” and a “perfectionist”?  Activities on silencing the inner critic, asking for feedback, and mindful living will provide students with practical strategies to cultivate and embrace resiliency in their own lives.

Dr. Kasevich is a self-described extreme introvert and yet her presentation style could be described as effervescent. The content of Dr. Kasevich’s talk was insightful and targeted towards helping our students appreciate how they can be effective quiet leaders in today’s world.”
–Susan Acton, PhD, Career Assistant, MIT Global Education and Career Development

Student Workshop

My memory of the vitality, compassion, and generosity that you brought to your leadership remains vivid. You were the first person who made me feel appreciated, valued and seen without needing to change any aspect of who I was. I believe you were instrumental in the development of my love for sharing the power of quiet and female leadership.”
–Angela, Nanjing International School
